Buyer Policies

Each order you place is a legally enforceable contract. If you fail to pickup your order, you are still obligated to pay for the items you order.

We will inspect and pack all orders prior to distribution. In the event that product gets damaged during packing, we will provide a store credit to the customer, provided that the damaged goods are returned.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality produce, and we require our producer to deliver market-grade products. The customer understands that since our farmers do not use pesticides or herbicides, fruits and vegetables may not look “perfect”.

Buyer acknowledges and agrees that CF2T is a food hub and as such it provides its services solely as an intermediary between Buyer and Seller, and does not take nor acquire title at any time to any products bought and sold under any transactions between Buyer and Seller.

All purchases require electronic payment upon order unless other arrangements for invoicing have been made. Invoices not paid within 30-days are subject to a 2% interest charge (compounding for each subsequent 30-day period late).

If a check tendered for payment is not honored by the bank for nonsufficient funds (NSF), it will not be redeposited. If the bank does not clear your check, you will incur a fee of $35. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express transactions that are not approved or declined will also be subject to a $35 handling fee. You must immediately send a certified check or money order for the amount due, including the NSF fee, to Chesapeake Farm to Table to cover returned check or credit card transaction. Postdated checks are not an acceptable form of payment. Please call immediately to arrange payment.

Farmer Policies

Farmer participants must adhere to the following guidelines:

-CF2T accepts produce grown only by the participating farmers. Buying and reselling into CF2T is strictly forbidden.

-GMO crops are not allowed.

-Farmer participants must have liability insurance and name CF2T as additional insured. A copy of your insurance must be on file with CF2T prior to posting on the site.

-Farmer participants are responsible for posting product availability in a timely fashion. Products available for Thursday delivery can be posted up to 7 days prior to the delivery day. Farmers should post as early as possible, giving customers the best options for ordering. The ordering window closes at noon on Wednesdays. We anticipate adding Tuesdays to our delivery schedule and will give you an updated posting schedule as soon as possible.

-Farmer participants are expected to use complete and detailed descriptions of products when posting.

-All products will be delivered in good condition. Products will be free of dirt, mold, unreasonable blemishes and wilt. CF2T has the right to reject products that are deemed unfit for sale.

-Farmer participants are responsible for providing products as they are ordered. In the event a member is unable to meet their obligation, the member grower is responsible for finding another CF2T producer to provide the product. CF2T staff/manager must be alerted to any substitutions and/or incomplete orders immediately.

-Acceptable packaging includes: farm crates with plastic liners, waxed, plain or micro coated boxes (½ bu, 1 bu, 1 1/9 bu, 1 ½ bu) with plastic liners, cardboard berry flats, cardboard herb boxes, plastic clam shells and tomato boxes (10, 20, or 25 lb).

-All products will be labeled upon delivery to the hub. Labels will include the farm name and contents.

-All products will be delivered to the hub prior to 7:00am on the appointed delivery day. Wednesday evening deliveries to the hub may be accepted, prior notification must be made to giftcal@aol.com.

-During the May 15-Nov 15 growing season, farmer participants are expected to post products for sale 75% of the weeks.
